EDUCATION + MEANINGFUL PARTICIPATION = COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT  

The Enviroschool program at the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) is the environmental education outreach arm of the Agency that provides training for communities, businesses, and other organizations on a number of regulatory topics.  The goal of this program is for the attendees to become informed about the environmental regulatory process and to maintain and improve environmental compliance.  These workshops are open to the public.  If you are interested, please feel free to register for any of our workshops that are posted below or contact us if you would like additional information.

Air Permitting 301:  Understanding Permitted vs. Actual Emissions

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) is sponsoring free training sessions that will give you an understanding of LDEQ Air Permitting.  This training session will go into greater details regarding air permitting of emissions.  The class will focus on the typical sources for determining emission rates and establishes a level of accuracy for each type.  In addition the presentation explains how those rates can be adjusted for differing operations and other variables.  Finally the differences between the permitted emissions and actual emissions will be discussed and how those emissions are used in PSD applications, inspections/enforcement and ERIC submittals.

All workshops are from 10AM - 12PM
