COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT
The ENVIROSCHOOL for communities training program is a series of training sessions designed to educate communities and encourage meaningful participation in the regulatory process. The goal is for communities to become informed and skilled on how to access and utilize informational resources.
Training sessions will focus on a series of regulatory topics including: Environmental Regulations & Standards 101, Access 101, Public Participation 101 and Permits 101. (We are currently updating our schedules-please check back soon for complete schedule.)
November 2009 Sessions
Understanding Water Quality Issues
The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality in partnership with the University of Louisiana Monroe Department of Toxicology will present an Enviroschool workshop on UNDERSTANDING WATER QUALITY ISSUES. This workshop will provide an overview of the basics of understanding water quality and water quality protection including understanding non-point source pollution.
