The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) in conjunction with Louisiana Municipal Association and the Police Jury Association of Louisiana are pleased to announce a solicitation for proposals for household hazardous material collection programs.
Parish governments, municipalities, school boards, military bases and non-profit partnerships are invited to submit proposals. The materials to be targeted are household hazardous material and school lab wastes.
The proposals will be evaluated based on project goals, environmental benefits, implementation plan, safety plan, partners and sustainability. Proposals must include a 25% in-kind or cash match.
Successful applicants will enter into a Cooperative Agreement with the DEQ. Reports on the progress of the project will be due quarterly. Payments will be made based on the milestones documented accomplished in the quarterly reports.
Proposals are due to DEQ no later than 4:00 pm on October 1, 2007.
