Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) According to LDEQ regulations, Lead-based Paint abatement contractors must be licensed by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors. For information to obtain a license to abate Lead-based Paint, you may contact the LSLBC by phone, 225-765-2301 or view their web site for additional information at http://www.LSLBC.louisiana.gov/

Lead Grants Available through Housing & Urban Development (HUD)

HUD makes $1 Billion in Grants available through 35 Programs http://www.hud.gov/news/release.cfm?content=pr08-060.cfm&CFID=112414&CFTOKEN=c7c07d-000a7f1b-a975-1106-887b-80fcccd30000.    FYI, HUD intends to offer an additional $1.5 billion in homeless grants later in the year.
