Eastern Lower Mississippi River Alluvial Plains Ecoregion Use Attainability Analysis

On June 7, 2013 LDEQ completed a dissolved oxygen Use Attainability Analysis (UAA) in the eastern Lower Mississippi River Alluvial Plains (LMRAP) Ecoregion. A potpourri (1506POT1) will be noticed in the June 20, 2015 Louisiana Register to announce this UAA and the proposed updates to Volume 4 of the Water Quality Management Plan. Regulatory revisions (WQ091) resulting from this UAA are also being noticed in the June 20, 2015 Louisiana Register concurrent with the potpourri.

Final Updates to the eastern LMRAP UAA and WQMP, Volume 4

As a result of the eastern LMRAP UAA, LDEQ promulgated revisions to Table 3 in LAC 33:IX.1123 (Rule WQ091) on December 20, 2015 (Louisiana Register, http://www.doa.la.gov/osr/REG/1512/1512.pdf). LDEQ then submitted the final rule certification package to EPA Region 6 for approval (EDMS Document ID 10040577) on January 7, 2016. EPA Region 6 approved the final rule on June 3, 2016 (EDMS Document ID 10213910). Volume 4 of the Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP) was updated to reflect the revisions in WQ091, and the WQMP Volume 4 certification package (EDMS Document ID 10240321) was sent to EPA Region 6 on June 20, 2016; EPA Region 6 approved the update to Volume 4 of the WQMP on September 9, 2016 (EDMS Document ID 10346078).
