2026 Natural Disaster & Catastrophic Event Parish Resource Book Available
Each year, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality updates the Parish Resource Book for use throughout the state. This publication contains valuable resource documents designed to assist Parish Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP) Coordinators and Directors, local and state government officials. It serves as an invaluable resource for the public before; during, and after emergencies such as hurricanes, flooding, and other natural disasters.
Prior to June 1 each year, the department works to ensure that all Parish OHSEP offices have access to the most current documents and information included in the Parish Resource Book. While hurricane season typically runs from June through November, the resources provided in this guide can be used during any weather-related emergency or disaster event throughout the year.
