Gov. Jeff Landry Joins Summit at Sea Level to Highlight Coastal Protection Efforts

BATON ROUGE, LA — Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry joined state and federal leaders at the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority's (CPRA) Summit at Sea Level to discuss ongoing efforts to protect and restore Louisiana's coast through strong intergovernmental collaboration.

The governor participated in a discussion with U.S. Assistant Secretary of the Army (Civil Works) Adam Telle, focusing on the challenges facing Louisiana's coast and the partnerships that are advancing restoration.

The Summit at Sea Level brings together CPRA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and coastal stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and align priorities at the federal, state and local levels.

"Coastal restoration and coastal protection go hand in hand with hurricane protection," Gov. Landry said.

As the state's lead coastal authority, CPRA develops and implements projects that reduce flood risk, restore coastal ecosystems and protect communities through Louisiana's Coastal Master Plan. Working alongside federal, state and local partners, CPRA continues to advance science-based solutions that safeguard the state's coast, economy and way of life.
