Control of Natural Gas Releases

Short term releases of natural gas from pipelines and associated equipment are sometimes necessary when repairs are made.  Prior approval for these discharges has normally been obtained by requesting a variance.  Releases of natural gas will now be addressed through the Regulatory Permit process.  See the Regulatory Permits page for more information.
