DEQ offers free workshops on open burning

Baton Rouge, Jul 16, 2014 - The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality is sponsoring a free workshop to assist fire departments, municipalities and the general public with understanding the air quality regulations concerning open burning. The workshop will provide a basic understanding of the regulations, as well as information on opening burning do’s and don’ts. All workshops will be from 10 a.m. to noon.

• Aug 12 - Tangipahoa Parish
  Hammond Police Training Center
  Conrad Anderson Street (behind the Tangipahoa Airport)

• Aug. 17 - Alexandria Area
  Park Community Center
  2450 La. 28 E.
  Pineville
