McNeely named DEQ assistant secretary for environmental compliance - January 09, 2015
Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Secretary Peggy Hatch named Chance McNeely assistant secretary for environmental compliance, a recently vacated unclassified position, effective Jan. 12. McNeely was previously a policy advisor in the Office of the Governor where he served as a liaison to DEQ.

Holden company chosen to extinguish landfill fire - October 09, 2014
DEQ and the State Fire Marshal's Office announced today that Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc., a fire fighting company from Holden, has been contracted to extinguish underground fires at the Harrelson Materials Management landfill on Russell Road in Shreveport.

DEQ issues order to halt Shreveport landfill operations - September 16, 2014
Today, the Department of Environmental Quality, working with the State Fire Marshal's Office, issued an administrative order requiring a Shreveport landfill owned by Harrelson Material Management Inc. to cease all landfill disposal operations at its Russell Road construction and demolition landfill.
